The History of the Worship Without Walls Experience

The Worship Without Walls Experience is an annual event (every October), beginning in October 2014 as a bi-annual event (every April and October). Pastor Kendrick was sitting down at church when seemingly out of the blue, the Lord said, “Worship Without Walls”. He had no idea exactly what these words meant, except that it would involve music. So, with
those three words in his heart, he and Pastor Zelia began planning the first experience! As time went on, God began to reveal to them different aspects that He wanted to implement. Sometimes He gave instructions straight to them, and other times instructions came through other people. One of those instructions was to form a choir, which was
spearheaded by Janard Cross, our choir director. The Worship Without Walls Choir was formed, a 25 to 30-person choir that continuously grows by word of mouth and relationships. The Worship Without Walls Band was formed, a 5 to 7-person band that grows in the same way. God let them know that He wanted to impact Middle Tennessee by bringing His people together, no matter race, denomination etc., to corporately worship Him with the utmost love and purity. At each Worship Without Walls Experience, there is an atmosphere of freedom to completely pour our hearts of love out to God, our Heavenly Father.
